Care Choice North West is seeking dedicated and compassionate Home Care Assistants to join our expanding teams across the Wigan borough.
As a Home Care Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our clients, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being while promoting independence wherever possible.
What You’ll Do
- Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities.
- Support with meal preparation, medication prompts, and companionship.
- Assist with mobility and light household tasks.
- Maintain accurate and clear records of care provided.
- Work both independently and as part of a supportive team.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous care experience (preferred but not essential – full training provided).
- Strong communication skills in English.
- A caring, reliable and compassionate nature.
- Ability to drive and access to a car (preferred but not mandatory).
- An understanding of care needs and the ability to follow care plans.
Shift Patterns
- Morning & Dinner Calls: 6:30am – 2:00pm
- Tea & Bed Calls: 3:00pm – 10:00pm
- Alternate weekends are a requirement of the role
- Regular rest days included in rota
