Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals in care homes and home care settings. This position requires a commitment to supporting the well-being of our clients, assisting with daily activities, and ensuring that care plans are effectively implemented.
Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support clients in daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication management, and mobility assistance.
- Implement and follow individual care plans tailored to each client's needs.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and communicate any changes to the healthcare team.
- Foster a safe and supportive environment for clients by adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Engage with clients through meaningful conversation and companionship to enhance their emotional well-being.
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their comfort and safety during transport.
Skills
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Proficiency in IT for maintaining records and using electronic care management systems.
- Experience or knowledge of care home environments and home care practices is advantageous.
- Ability to understand and implement care plans accurately.
- A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients when necessary.
