Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents in a care home setting. You will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities, ensuring the comfort and well-being of those in your care, and supporting the implementation of care plans. Strong communication skills in English are essential, as is the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
Duties
- Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support residents with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Help with meal preparation and feeding when necessary, promoting nutritional health.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and assist in the development of individual care plans.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure a cohesive approach to care.
- Utilise IT systems for documentation and reporting purposes as required.
- Participate in training sessions and continuous professional development to enhance your skills.
- Drive to various locations if required for home care services.
Experience
- Previous experience in a healthcare or care home setting is desirable but not mandatory; we welcome applicants who are eager to learn.
- A good understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately is beneficial.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English.
- A valid driving licence is advantageous for roles that may require travel for home care services.
- Familiarity with IT systems will be an asset in managing documentation efficiently.
