Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Healthcare Assistant to join our team in providing care for individuals in a care home settings. Connect House is a 74 bed dual registered Nursing and residential home. The home is split into 2 suites one which provides long-term care in a traditional care home environment and the other is a short-term rehabilitation/assessment unit. Both suites are very different but equally as rewarding. The ideal candidate will play their part in providing essential care and support to our residents some of which are living with dementia. You need to be kind, caring and compassionate with a drive to support others to the best of your ability. The overall wellbeing of our residents is key and if you feel you could make a difference to their lives then we are looking to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of care plans
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
-Provide personal care to individuals living within the home
- Maintain accurate records using our PCS system to record all care and social interventions
- Support patients with daily activities in a caring and respectful manner
- Follow policies to ensure infection control, health and safety and moving and handling is carried out to a high standard
Skills
- Proficient in English language
- Knowledge of care home practices is desirable
- Strong communication skills to interact with patients, colleagues, families and health care professionals
Previous experience in a care home environment is desirable however not required as long as you are willing to learn. As a home we support our staff with ongoing professional development and there are lots of opportunities available for career progression.

Pay: £12.21 per hour
