Job Title: Care Assistant
Location: Howard Court Care Home, Brampton
Shifts: 25-30 hours Day, It will change to full time in August

As a Care Assistant at Howard Court Care Home, you will provide high-quality, person-centered care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met. Your role is crucial in promoting independence, dignity, and a positive quality of life for every resident in our care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Personal Care:
- Assist residents with personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support residents with mobility and physical activities, including using equipment such as hoists.
- Health Monitoring:
- Observe and report any changes in residents' health or behaviour to the Care Manager or senior team members.
- Administer medications (if trained and authorized) following care home procedures.
- Daily Living Support:
- Assist residents during meal times, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
- Provide support with daily routines, including housekeeping tasks where needed.
- Emotional and Social Support:
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
- Encourage residents to engage in recreational activities and social events to enhance their well-being.
- Health & Safety:
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and infection control measures.
- Ensure all care practices comply with relevant regulations and standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience in a care role is preferred but not essential training will be provided.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanour.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Willingness to undertake further training and development.
- A basic understanding of IT systems for documentation and reporting purposes is beneficial.
Requirements:
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- A DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check is required.
- A commitment to maintaining residents’ confidentiality and upholding their dignity.

Pay: £12.21-£12.40 per hour
