Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will assist with daily activities, implement care plans, and foster a positive environment for those in your care. Duties
- Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support individuals in following their personalised care plans to meet their specific needs.
- Monitor and document changes in residents' health and report any concerns to the nursing staff.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a friendly atmosphere.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the care environment.
- Drive residents to appointments or social activities as required.
- Utilise IT systems for record-keeping and communication purposes effectively.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with residents and their families.
- Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes.
- A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting residents when necessary.
