We're looking for someone passionate about safety and compliance to maintain the existing standards set in place and to support with audits.
Grangers International Ltd, based in Derbyshire and established in 1937, and owner of market-leading aftercare brands; Grangers, Fabsil and Cherry Blossom is on the lookout for someone to join their team to ensure that all compliance and audits are adhered to. This is the role for a part-time passionate multitasker.
THE ROLE
This role is ideal for someone who is experienced in compliance and safety. With a passion for ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all personnel on site, regulatory and auditing processes this is a diverse role for an organised and experienced person, looking for a part-time role.
The chosen candidate will work closely with the R&D team, as well supporting the wider business and customers with compliance and health and safety queries.
The individual will also work closely with all teams across the business including Production, Marketing and Product building upon the practices already in place and ensure standards are maintained and audits are passed.
- One day in the first half of the week with paid overtime required during audits.
- Office-based with some opportunities to work from home when relevant
- Occasional travel may be required to visit customers
- Opportunity to develop skills base through funded courses and training software
- Salary: Negotiable and dependent upon experience. Basic salary with additional overtime during audits.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Overseeing the management and reduction of H&S incidents
- Scheduling and completing audits to comply with ISO 9001 and 14001
- Maintenance and development of risk monitoring practices including COSHH, DSEAR & SMETA
- Manage other non-financial reports such as the modern slavery statement
- Create, review and update risk assessments
- Accident and near miss reporting
- Review of contractor RAMS
- Coordinating with insurance companies
- Development and revision of policies and practices related to H&S
- Quality and environmental system management
- Ensure H&S inductions provided in timely manner for new starters
IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:
- Demonstrate substantial regulatory and auditing experience.
- Be a people person and confident communicating with consumers and customers.
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to put a hand to any tasks to support the department/wider business.
- Have an ability to work cross-functionally across relevant teams.
- Be a team player, proactive, positive, enthusiastic and demonstrate a ‘can do’ attitude.
- Have strong attention to detail.
REQUIREMENTS
- At least three years’ experience in a H&S, compliance and sustainability role.
- Ideally have a NEBOSH certification
- Computer literacy – MS Outlook, Excel, Word.
- Excellent written and verbal communication
