The Role
As a Supervisor at Smoke & Rye, you’ll be a vital part of the daily operations supporting the Management team, coaching staff, and keeping energy high across the floor. You’ll lead by example, jump into service when needed, and make sure every guest leaves with a story to tell (and a craving to come back).
This is a hands-on role, perfect for someone who thrives on great service, loves a fast pace, and isn’t afraid to get stuck in.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Daily Operations – Help lead front-of-house service, ensure smooth shifts, and step in to resolve issues with confidence and calm.
- Deliver Epic Guest Experiences – Lead by example to ensure every guest is welcomed, looked after, and leaves happy.
- Team Leadership & Support – Assist in training, coaching, and motivating the team to uphold high standards and brand values.
- Stock & Systems – Help manage stock levels, cash handling, and opening/closing procedures.
- Health & Safety Compliance – Ensure service areas meet all hygiene, licensing, and safety requirements.
- Event & Promotion Support – Get involved with special nights, events, and marketing promotions—we love fresh ideas and energy.
Key Attributes
We’re looking for someone who’s reliable, confident, and people-focused, someone who loves the buzz of a busy shift and knows how to make both guests and team members feel at ease.
- Experience in a front-of-house hospitality role (supervisory experience preferred but not essential).
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable leading a team and making quick decisions under pressure.
- A positive, professional attitude with a sense of fun.
- A genuine passion for guest experience, food, and drink (especially if you love BBQ or bourbon—bonus!).
