The Greenshaw Learning Trust is ‘Always Learning’

We’re looking for a dedicated Head of Year & Sports Coach to join our friendly, supportive team at Orchard Park High School, part of the Greenshaw Learning Trust, from September 2025.

About the role:

  • Take responsibility for raising the standards of academic success, conduct and character development in your year group
  • Set, through personal example, an appropriate tone and expectation with pupils in support of the overall school direction and ethos
  • Maintain high expectations of all students within your designated year groups – with regards to uniform and equipment, attitude to learning, effort, resilience, achievement, politeness, conduct around school and in the community
  • Support the successful running of the Out of Lesson Provision
  • Provide support to the inclusion team
  • Maintain regular contact with families
  • Support our centralised behaviour system
  • Help to manage centralised detentions
  • To coach and officiate teams as per the school fixture list.
  • To liaise with the Head of PE on all training, clubs and fixtures
  • To be the weekly point of contact, communicating with parents for the age group teams that you are responsible for
  • To be proactive our sports provision and our teams
