Shape Thriving Communities – Lead Meaningful Change

Are you a strategic and people-focused housing leader passionate about creating better neighbourhoods? Do you thrive in a collaborative environment where you can drive innovation, performance, and social impact?

At FCHO, we're on a mission to build thriving communities where people feel safe, connected, and supported. As Head of Tenancy and Neighbourhood Services, you’ll play a pivotal role in turning that mission into reality.

The vacancy

Reporting to the Director of Customer Services, you’ll lead four critical services: Neighbourhoods, Lettings, and ASB. Your leadership will ensure our services not only meet but exceed regulatory standards, deliver exceptional customer satisfaction, and create real impact in our communities.

You’ll develop and implement neighbourhood action plans and innovative interventions using a systems thinking approach – all while ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks like the Regulator of Social Housing’s Consumer Standards and Tenant Satisfaction Measures (TSMs).

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire multidisciplinary teams

  • Drive continuous service improvement through data, insight, and customer feedback

  • Develop policies, systems, and KPIs to strengthen delivery and accountability

  • Build strong partnerships with statutory and voluntary agencies

  • Ensure legal, regulatory, and safeguarding compliance across your service areas

  • Play a key role in shaping FCHO’s “Thriving Communities” agenda

What's in it for you?

When you become a part of the FCHO team, you receive a range of fantastic benefits, including:

  • A salary of circa £70,000 per Annum
  • 30 days holiday and all UK bank holidays plus one company shut down day as determined by FCHO. Part time employees will receive a pro rata entitlement.
  • Holiday entitlement is 30 days, plus one shut down day which will be determined by the company and eight bank holidays. Part time colleagues will receive a pro-rated entitlement. You can also purchase additional leave.
  • Defined contribution pension scheme with an employer contribution of up to 10%. We also offer a pension salary exchange scheme for eligible colleagues, helping colleagues to take home more of the money they earn.
  • Automatic enrolment into a healthcare cash plan and private health insurance plan
  • Access to our colleague benefit platform which offers discounts on hundreds of high street brands as well as providing education, support and tools to help you to live a healthier and happier life
  • Access to Doctorline, a 24/7 worldwide GP helpline for you, your partner and your children
  • Enhanced maternity, paternity, and sick pay
  • Discounted gym membership
  • Access to an Employment Assistance Programme with 24-hour confidential counselling support for both personal and work-related issues.
  • Professional subscriptions are paid for by the business where they are an essential requirement of your role.
  • Enhanced maternity, paternity, adoption and sick pay
  • Long service awards

Who are we looking for?

Our ideal candidate:

  • Has a full UK driving licence
  • Has substantial experience managing multi-disciplinary housing teams (Neighbourhoods, Lettings, ASB, etc.)

  • Holds a CIH Level 5 Diploma (or equivalent/willingness to complete), with in-depth knowledge of relevant housing legislation

  • Has strong strategic and analytical skills and is able to turn insight into action

  • Has excellent people and performance management expertise

  • Has a track record of creating and delivering customer-centric services

  • Has vast experience of budget management and policy development

  • Is committed to equality, diversity, and creating safe, inclusive communities
