Job Description

Our Group is on a flagship transformation programme, and we’re looking for a visionary Head of Technical Design to lead the architectural direction of this ambitious initiative. If you’re passionate about shaping future-proof technology solutions and influencing enterprise-wide change, we’d love to hear from you.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading the technical design authority across business, data, applications and technology
- Managing and developing a high-performing team of architects and technical experts
- Aligning architecture decisions with enterprise strategy and programme goals
- Communicating key design decisions and artefacts to stakeholders and governance forums
- Collaborating across IT disciplines to ensure coherence and reduce delivery risk
- Owning the target operating model for architecture and design within the programme
- Advising on sequencing and dependencies to support planning and delivery
- Embedding customer fairness and value into all architectural decisions
Qualifications
Who we’re looking for:
- Proven experience as a senior IT architect with a strong strategic mindset
- Deep knowledge of enterprise architecture, IT governance and modern technology patterns
- Ability to lead and inspire multi-disciplinary teams in a complex programme environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills at all levels
- Experience with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or similar
- Understanding of business models, operating models and risk management
- Familiarity with cloud, integration, data analytics and emerging technologies
- Commitment to inclusive leadership and delivering fair outcomes for customers
