Job Description
Due to the rapid expansion of the Group, we have an exciting opportunity for a Head of GSS Finance Business Partnering to join our Group Finance team.
In this high-impact role, you will play a key leadership role within the Financial Reporting, Planning and Analysis function, responsible for overseeing the financial performance and cost control of the Group Support Services (‘GSS’) departments.
You will act as a trusted finance advisor and strategic partner to the C-suite GSS department heads, delivering insights, analysis and support to optimise spend and align decisions with Group objectives. The role requires strong collaboration with various teams and individuals across the business including members of the Group Management Team, and the ideal candidate will have strong relationship building skills at this executive level. A key focus on the role is partnering with the Technology function, requiring strong knowledge of IT operating models, project based-investment and BAU cost control in a technology-driven environment.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
You'll act as the primary finance partner to the heads of centralised functions (Group CFO, CCO, COO, CPO, CRO, GC, CTO), providing strategic financial insight and challenge to drive operational efficiency and value for money.
You'll lead financial performance reviews and deliver insightful management reports, analysing trends, identifying risks and opportunities, and offering clear recommendations to senior stakeholders.
You'll support strategic investment decisions, especially in technology, through robust business case development, ROI assessments, and financial modelling, ensuring finance is embedded in decision-making across central support areas.
You'll own the end-to-end budgeting and forecasting process for all centralised cost centres, maintaining financial controls and governance while driving process improvements and automation in financial management and reporting.
You'll support procurement and contract reviews, particularly IT vendor spend, ensuring commercial rigour, necessity, and value are fully understood—providing internal challenge and external negotiation support as needed.

Qualifications
ABOUT YOU
- You are a qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) with over 10 years of experience in strategic business partnering or senior FP&A roles, ideally within financial or professional services.
- You have deep expertise in technology cost drivers, including infrastructure, software licensing, security, digital solutions, and AI, and can align contract engagements with Group Strategy.
- You understand accounting principles related to capital and operational expenditure and thrive in complex, fast-paced, technology-led environments.
- You communicate financial insights effectively to both financial and non-financial stakeholders, with proven experience in management reporting and dashboard development for data visualisation.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, and familiar with Sun Systems, Workday Adaptive Planning, and Power BI; experience in the investor services industry is a valuable asset.
