  • Champion team engagement and development within the Rides & Attractions department, focussing on a high standard of ride operator training and ongoing coaching to support a high-performance environment
  • Uphold a culture of ownership, accountability, and proactive leadership at all levels

Compliance & Safety Oversight

  • Ensure all operations comply with applicable legislation, including:
    • HSG 175 – Fairgrounds and Amusement Parks
    • PUWER – Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations
    • Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
  • Oversee risk assessments, SOP reviews, and audit processes for all attraction types
  • Work closely in partnership with the Engineering/Maintenance Department to optimise ride safety, presentation and performance

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Liaise with cross-functional leaders (e.g. Maintenance, Guest Services, HR, Directors) to deliver joined-up attraction experiences
  • Contribute to capital investment plans for new rides, play areas, and guest attractions
  • Act as the key point of contact for external inspectors, health and safety audits, and regulatory reviews
  • Work alongside relevant departments to offer hands-on support to complete projects, operational action plans and ‘winter-works’ on an ad hoc basis

Budgeting & Administration

  • Own and manage the department budget, including staffing, training, and operational costs
  • Focus on attractions secondary-spend to meet, and surpass, company revenue targets
  • Track and report on performance KPIs (uptime, guest NPS, throughput, compliance, incidents)
  • Prepare internal reports and contribute to business planning documentation for senior leadership

Requirements:

Essential

  • Minimum 5 years’ management experience in a high-volume, guest-facing attraction or leisure environment
