We are seeking a Head of Affiliates to join our team on a fixed-term basis as Maternity Cover.
In this leadership position, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the performance and growth of our retail clients, while managing and owning development of a small team of affiliate specialists.
You’ll play a key role in shaping the future of our affiliate offering; driving innovation, delivering excellence across a global portfolio of network accounts and contributing to the commercial growth of a profitable department at Vervaunt.

Key Responsibilities
Account Strategy
- Oversee our portfolio of accounts managed by our Account Managers, ensuring their goals are met with measurable results.
- Assist Account Managers quarterly and annual planning, including input and guidance into forecasting, budgeting, and performance reviews.
- Work with Account Managers to identify growth opportunities within affiliate programmes, including partner diversification, international expansion, and technology adoption.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to continuously refine strategy and deliver best-in-class performance.
- Collaborate closely with paid media teams to identify and maximise all crossover opportunities, including new opportunities with platforms such as TikTok Shop and YouTube.
Client & Team Management
- Build strong relationships ensuring client satisfaction through strategic guidance and clear communication, with NPS closely monitored and used to drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with clients to understand business needs, providing proactive recommendations and thought leadership.
- Manage and mentor a team of Affiliate Managers and Executives, supporting their development and encouraging high performance.
- Oversee team workflows to ensure timely and accurate delivery of campaigns and reports.
- Handle complex or escalated issues with professionalism and a solutions-oriented mindset.
- Plan team capacity ensuring utilisation targets are hit and maintained.
Business & Departmental Growth
- Lead new business development by creating pitches, proposals, and strategic recommendations, whilst ensuring our offering remains commercially competitive within the market.
- Own department P&L, tracking department profitability and success reporting GPM and net profit performance to SLT.
- Play a key role in shaping the future of the affiliate department, from refining service offerings to enhancing internal processes and tools.
- Foster innovation by testing emerging platforms, technologies, and partnership models.
- Represent the agency at industry events, building relationships with networks, partners, and prospective clients.
- Track departmental performance metrics and report on progress to leadership, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and scalable growth.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years hands-on experience in affiliate marketing, ideally within an agency environment.
- Proven track record and relationships with global affiliate networks such as Awin, CJ Affiliate and Rakuten.
- Experience in line management, with the ability to coach and develop high-performing teams.
- Commercial mindset with a focus on identifying growth opportunities, driving profitability and scaling department performance.
- Broader knowledge of the digital marketing landscape and the strategic role affiliate plays within it.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, both internally and externally.
- Highly organised and proactive, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
