We’re looking for an experienced Head Barista to lead our front-of-house coffee team and help deliver the exceptional service and quality that Midgar Coffee is known for. What You’ll Do
- Craft Exceptional Drinks – Prepare and serve a full range of espresso-based and specialty coffee beverages to the highest standard.
- Lead & Inspire – Supervise, train, and mentor our team, ensuring consistency and excellence in every cup.
- Delight Customers – Provide warm, knowledgeable, and attentive service, offering recommendations and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
- Maintain Quality – Oversee presentation, taste, and cleanliness standards across all beverage service.
- Manage Stock – Monitor, order, and rotate coffee, milk, and other supplies.
- Keep Things Running Smoothly – Take ownership of opening/closing, cash handling, and ensuring a seamless flow of service, even during busy rushes.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience – At least 2–3 years as a barista, with supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
- Coffee Knowledge – Strong understanding of brewing methods, espresso extraction, latte art, and bean profiles.
- Leadership Skills – Able to motivate, train, and support a team.
- Customer Focus – Excellent communication and people skills to engage with guests and resolve issues quickly.
- Organisation – Strong time-management skills to juggle priorities in a bustling café.
- Hygiene & Safety – A commitment to maintaining the highest food safety and cleanliness standards.
