Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handy Man to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse range of maintenance and repair skills, enabling them to tackle various tasks efficiently. This role is essential for maintaining the functionality and aesthetics of our properties, ensuring that all repairs and maintenance are carried out to a high standard.
Job is subcontracted work - must have good rates £35 per small job. and good availability, and a portfolio of previous work.
Duties
- Perform general maintenance and repairs in residential and commercial properties.
- Handle plumbing tasks, including fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and installing fixtures.
- Conduct electrical repairs such as replacing light fixtures, outlets, and switches.
- Carry out carpentry work, including repairing doors, windows, and furniture.
- Paint walls and touch up surfaces as needed to maintain appearance.
- Assemble furniture and equipment as required.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from tenants or management.
- Maintain an organised inventory of tools and materials needed for repairs.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards while performing all tasks.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Handy Man or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and general maintenance practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues effectively and provide practical solutions.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A valid driving licence is advantageous for travel between job sites.
- Flexibility to work varied hours as needed based on project demands.
