Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handy Man to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse range of maintenance and repair skills, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently and efficiently, addressing various repair and maintenance needs in residential and commercial settings.
Duties
- Perform general maintenance and repairs on buildings, fixtures, and equipment.
- Carry out plumbing tasks such as fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and installing fixtures.
- Conduct electrical repairs including changing light bulbs, replacing switches, and troubleshooting minor electrical issues.
- Assemble and install furniture, appliances, and other equipment as required.
- Paint walls, ceilings, and other surfaces to maintain aesthetic appeal.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from clients or management.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all tasks.
Experience
- Proven experience in general maintenance or maintenance person services is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and painting techniques.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues effectively and provide practical solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
- A valid driving licence is advantageous for travelling between job sites.
- Certification in relevant trades (e.g., plumbing or electrical) is a plus but not essential.
