Be You Education is an innovative alternative education provider committed to supporting young people who need a more personalised approach to learning. Our Hair and Beauty Provision focuses on helping students develop vital life skills and achieve accredited qualifications in areas such as Hair & Beauty (up to Level 1) and a wide variety of life skills.
We are excited to be expanding and are now recruiting for key positions within our team:
- Lead – Be You Education (Hair and Beauty)
- Salary: £23,000 - £25,000 DoE
- Working Hours: 30 hours per week (term time only)
The Role:
As the Lead at Be You Education - Hair and Beauty, you will be responsible for planning, delivering, and overseeing the day-to-day teaching and learning within our provision. You will lead small groups of learners (up to 10 per day), supporting them to develop both practical and personal skills essential for independence, future employment, and progression within the hair and beauty industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, practical sessions in
Hair & Beauty (up to Level 1) and Life Skills - Lead and manage the day-to-day running of the provision
- Work closely with the wider Be You team to ensure learners’ progress is tracked and supported
- Provide a safe, nurturing, and inspiring learning environment
- Build positive relationships with learners, parents/carers, and external stakeholders
- Report directly into the Founder of Be You Education
- Good knowledge of Safeguarding practices
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience in alternative education or working with young people
- Background in hair & beauty
- Confident in delivering accredited qualifications (or willing to train)
- Strong leadership and organisational skills (essential)
- Passionate about supporting young people to achieve their potential (essential)
