We have an exciting Careers Project Officer opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated recent graduate who enjoys meeting and working with people and providing high levels of customer service.
You will support the Careers team to deliver objectives aligned to the University’s 2030 strategic pillar ‘Talent for Tomorrow’. Working at multiple offices across City Centre and City South campuses, the post holder will be an integral member of the team, providing customer service and direct careers information and advice to BCU students. The post will also include developing and evaluating projects for the Careers team, including engagement with students and other stakeholders, marketing and promotion of the service, and data analysis
The role provides the opportunity for being involved with a number of careers projects, activities and events, supporting BCU students in developing their employability and improving their career prospects. Particular focus will be on the range of student-facing activities associated with the Careers team and other related student facing events.
You should be a recent graduate and will be joining a vibrant and positive Careers team. Engaging with a diverse range of students different needs and interests, makes this a very rewarding role for a person who enjoys providing high levels of customer service with a flexible and adaptable approach.
Job Description
The appointed candidate will normally be employed through our subsidiary company BCU Support Services Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Birmingham City University. Appointees with prior LGPS membership who wish to enter the LGPS scheme will be able to do so and will be employed by Birmingham City University directly.
This vacancy is only open to Birmingham City University graduates from the academic year 2024/25. To be eligible, you must have completed your course between 1 August 2024 and 31 July 2025, and you must no longer be studying.
