Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain construction sites by clearing debris and ensuring a safe working environment.
- Assist in the excavation of soil and the laying of foundations for buildings and other structures.
- Operate machinery such as diggers and compactors, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure smooth workflow and project completion.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and contribute to site meetings as required.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, reporting any faults or issues promptly.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations to minimise risks on site.
- Own Tools and Van Required*
- CIS Registered
Skills
- Proven experience in groundwork or related construction roles is advantageous but not essential.
- Ability to operate construction machinery safely; relevant certifications are a plus.
- Strong physical fitness and stamina for manual labour tasks.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations within the construction industry.
