Private Farming Estate with Farm Shop and Wedding Venue Gardens
Part-Time
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Gardener to join our team on a beautiful private farming estate with extensive gardens. This role requires a versatile individual with a strong work ethic and practical experience across a range of tasks related to garden creation, planting, and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
· Maintain the holiday cottage gardens and nurture plants from seed in our potting shed.
· Operate machinery such as a lawn mower and strimmer.
· Create planted arrangements for retail, especially around seasonal occasions.
· Look after the boundaries and cleanliness of the customer car park – first impressions are important!
Requirements:
· Proven experience and knowledge with plants and horticulture.
· Strong skills in gardening and growing.
· Flexibility around the weather, and weddings and events.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and organised approach.
Desirable Qualities:
· Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of upkeep.
· Flexibility to adapt to a variety of tasks as needed on the Estate.
· Ability to identify and manage pests or diseases affecting plants and grounds.
