Job Description
We are looking for an ambitious part qualified management accountant to join the team based in our Presteigne office assisting with the preparation of management accounts for 3 divisions of the TADE UK group of Teledyne Technologies.
Teledyne Labtech is one of the worlds most advanced manufacturers of RF & Microwave PCB, specialising in metal back PCB, mixed dielectric multilayer PCB & Antenna.
Teledyne Reynolds UK are experts in providing high quality, high voltage interconnect solutions to the most demanding applications in the Defence, Industrial, Medical, Energy and Space sectors.
Teledyne Paradise Datacom specialize in high performance satellite modems for secure, reliable communication in commercial and defence applications.
Responsibilities
This role will report directly to the Financial Controller and the main duties will initially include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts in accordance with US GAAP principles including journals, reconciliations, overhead analysis. variance analysis and monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Valuation of inventories and work in progress in accordance with ASC606.
- Assisting in the production of KPI's/Opex
- Assisting with the budgeting and forecasting processes
- Assisting with the preparation of the year end audit file and disclosure information.
- Assisting with the preparation and delivery of internal management reports.
- Issuing sales invoices and assisting shared services with credit control.
- Assist in weekly cash flow reporting
- Working with all stakeholders to provide ad-hoc project work and financial analysis as required
- Supporting the site Financial Controller.
- Assisting with general administrative duties.
- Actively seeking to improve processes, checks, controls and the quality of information.
Knowledge, Experience & Skills
- Part qualified accountant studying towards an accounting qualification.
- Degree educated
- Experience in the development, production and review of monthly management accounts.
- Ability to communicate with staff at all levels
- Excellent organisational ability including time management and prioritising tasks.
- Accurate with good attention to detail.
- Able to work autonomously.
- Excellent analytical and numerical abilities
- Have excellent IT skills, with strong Excel skills (SUM ifs and Pivot tables)
- Commercially aware
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Be able to work within a fast paced, ever-changing business
- Driving license and an ability to travel is preferred.
