Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm.

The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic graduate to join our dynamic Technical Team at Thompsons of York part of the BATA Group. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate with a passion for animal nutrition to develop their skills and contribute to a well-respected and growing business within the agricultural sector. You will work closely with experienced nutritionists and other technical specialists, gaining hands-on experience in formulation, technical support, and customer interaction.
Key Tasks:
· Assist senior nutritionists in the formulation of animal feed products
· Conduct nutritional analysis of raw materials and finished feed products
· Provide technical support and advice to internal teams (sales, production) and external customers (farmers, distributors)
· Assist in the preparation of technical literature, product specifications, and marketing materials
· Stay up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in animal nutrition and feed technology
· Assist in the investigation of customer queries and nutritional issues
· Undertake relevant training and professional development to enhance nutritional knowledge and skills
About you:
- A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Animal Nutrition, Animal Science or similar
- Interest in the agricultural industry, animal nutrition and animal production
- Familiarity with feed formulation software
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Commercial awareness
- A full UK driving license
