You will be responsible for operating specific equipment within the factory and will receive training in order to be able to work flexibly across the factory in various areas. You will also be responsible for maintaining line performance against a weekly production plan and be committed to optimising machine performance within standard settings.
In addition, the role will involve ensuring the basic upkeep and maintenance of the equipment, maintaining excellent housekeeping and safety standards in areas of operation, participating in quality checks, involvement in the auditing process and the continuous improvement of activities on site.
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:
- Experience of manufacturing environment is desirable
- A basic competence and technical understanding of automated equipment
- An ability to understand tolerance related to machine settings
- An understanding of the use and application of a number of hand tools
- an ability to read charts and print outs of equipment performance to raise any issues as appropriate

Working hours are an average of 42 hours per week. You will be required to work different shifts as required which will include 12 hour shifts 6am - 6pm with a 1 hour break. The working days will cover Monday - Sunday, however you will normally only work a maximum of 5 days from 7 each week. Your shifts will be allocated according to the current rota based on operational requirements and you will be informed of your required shifts each month.
The hourly rate is inclusive of a shift allowance.
