Durham Fencing and Sheds Ltd are looking for a hardworking General Builder/ Groundworker to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in various construction projects, ensuring that groundwork is completed efficiently and to the highest standards. This position requires a strong commitment to safety and quality, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with other team members on-site.
Duties
- Carry out excavation and groundwork tasks, including digging trenches and preparing sites for construction.
- Assist in the installation of drainage systems, foundations, and other essential structures.
- Operate hand tools and machinery safely and effectively to complete assigned tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are stored correctly.
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times, reporting any hazards or incidents to supervisors promptly.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure seamless project progression.
- Perform general labouring duties as required to support the construction team.
Experience
- Previous experience in groundworks or a related field is advantageous
- Familiarity with construction tools and equipment is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment are essential.
- A proactive attitude towards safety practices and a willingness to learn new skills will be highly regarded.
