Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and versatile General Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong guest service skills and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced hospitality environment. This role requires effective time management and the ability to communicate well with a diverse clientele. As a General Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests have an exceptional experience throughout their stay.
Duties
- Provide excellent guest service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Assist with various operational tasks in both hotel and restaurant settings.
- From 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM, assist guests with luggage, support the reception desk, help in the bar during busy periods, and ensure the cleanliness of public areas.
- From 11:00 PM to 4:00 AM, support the Night Porter with guest assistance and overnight cleaning tasks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of common areas and facilities.
- Support the front desk team with check-in/check-out procedures.
- Manage phone calls professionally, ensuring clear communication with guests and staff.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance overall guest satisfaction.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality settings is preferred but not essential – full training will be provided.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable for effective guest interaction.
- A friendly and approachable demeanour, with a commitment to providing outstanding service.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Willingness to work 10-hour shifts over 4 days per week, with scheduled rest days.
