General Assistant
The White House Residential Home, located near the bus station in Wrexham, is dedicated to providing high-quality care for our residents, including those living with dementia. We are currently seeking a compassionate and reliable General Assistant to join our friendly team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys helping others and is looking to make a positive difference in a residential care setting.
Role Overview:
As a General Assistant, you will provide essential support across various non-care tasks, ensuring the home runs smoothly and that our residents receive the highest standard of care. You will work closely with our experienced care team to create a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for our residents. The GA should be of good character.
Key Responsibilities:
- As required on the rota to assist with daily housekeeping duties, including cleaning and maintaining communal areas and residents' rooms
- Or support with the preparation and serving of meals, ensuring residents' nutritional needs are met
- Help with laundry duties and maintaining residents' personal items
- Ensure the environment remains safe, clean, and welcoming at all times
- Provide general support to the care team as required, maintaining the dignity and respect of all residents
About You:
- A caring and compassionate individual with a genuine desire to help others
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude
- Previous experience in a care or support role is desirable but not essential
- Willingness to undertake training and development as needed
- The ability to work as a general assistant for Kitchen, laundry, cleaning or caring as required for rota
- Immediate start please
- a Rolling DBS is advantageous but not essential
