Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a experienced Gardener/Handy Man to help maintain the garden and grounds around the farm. The ideal candidate will have a passion for gardening and groundskeeping, possessing a range of skills to ensure our landscapes are well-maintained and visually appealing.
Duties:
- Clear and rejuvenate the large herbaceous border
- Undertake landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, weeding, watering and pruning
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out garden maintenance
- Contribute to the growing and nurturing of vegetables and flowers in our polytunnel
- Operate power tools safely and efficiently for landscaping projects
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of plant care and growing techniques. This is important as we have a large herbaceous border that is in need of attention and horticultural knowledge will be essential for this project .
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance and gardening
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for outdoor work
- Knowledge of groundskeeping practices to maintain outdoor areas
