Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Gardener to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture and a strong understanding of landscape maintenance. This role involves maintaining and enhancing the beauty of gardens and outdoor spaces, ensuring they are healthy and vibrant. The Gardener will work with various plants, flowers, and landscapes, utilising both hand tools and power tools to achieve optimal results.
Duties
- Perform groundskeeping tasks including mowing, trimming, and weeding to maintain the overall appearance of gardens.
- Utilise hand tools such as spades, rakes, and shears for planting, pruning, and general garden upkeep.
- Operate power tools safely for tasks such as cutting hedges or tilling soil.
- Monitor plant health, identifying any diseases or pests that may affect growth.
- Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve landscaping goals and provide excellent service.
Experience
- Previous experience in gardening or landscape maintenance is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is highly valued.
- Must have a driving license.
- Familiarity with various plant species and their growing requirements is advantageous.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
