Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated individual to join our garden machinery sales team. Ideally candidates will have an interest in gardening and outdoor equipment. Excellent customer service skills essential. A proven track record in sales would be an advantage, but candidates without previous sales experience would be considered as full training will be given. You will be responsible for assisting customers in selecting the right garden machinery, providing product demonstrations and achieving sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner in person in the showroom, on the phone and via email enquiries.
- Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate garden machinery and equipment.
- Provide detailed product information about the products that we sell and demonstrations to customers when necessary.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest garden machinery products and trends.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets and goals.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints.
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor and display areas.
- Unboxing and assembly of products that we sell for display in the showroom and PDI'ing machinery for handover to customers (full training will be given).
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using our EPOS system.
- Collaborate with colleagues and other departments to ensure excellent customer service and satisfaction.
- Participate in training sessions and stay informed about new products and promotions.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in sales, preferably in garden machinery or related fields would be an advantage, however full training will be given.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities essential as you will be working in a busy showroom environment.
- Customer-focused with a positive attitude.
- Basic computer skills for processing sales transactions.
- Valid driver's license required as the use of company vans will be necessary when delivering goods direct to customers premises.
