Orbit Workforce Solutions Ltd is recruiting for an experienced gang of 2-3 Groundworkers for an ongoing project in Harrogate.
Duties
- Lay pin kerbs accurately and efficiently, ensuring alignment and finish meet required standards.
- Complete all flagging works, including preparing surfaces, laying slabs, and finishing to a high quality.
- Construct and finish road kerbs to a high standard, ensuring durability and compliance with project specifications.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining the construction site, keeping the work area clean and safe.
- Use hand tools and basic machinery safely and effectively to support groundworks tasks.
- Carry out manual handling tasks such as lifting, carrying, and positioning materials as required.
- Work collaboratively under the direction of supervisors and skilled tradespeople to meet project deadlines.
- Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment for the entire team.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working together as a groundworks gang.
- Must hold valid tickets for operating a digger, dumper, and other relevant site machinery.
- Must already be working as a team to ensure smooth coordination and efficiency on-site.
- Valid CSCS cards for all team members are essential.
- Proven ability to lay pin kerbs, complete flagging works, and construct road kerbs to a high standard.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physically demanding manual labour.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within the team and with supervisors.
- A proactive approach to health and safety, consistently following site regulations and best practices.
- Flexibility regarding working hours to meet project requirements and deadlines.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to manage time effectively to contribute to project progress.
