Role Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting and assembling mobility products for customers at their homes and our retail shops.
You will ensure timely, professional delivery and setup while providing friendly and helpful service. This position requires excellent communication skills, physical ability, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Drive a van or similar vehicle to deliver goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload items from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling of all products.
- Assemble and set up mobility equipment at the customer’s location, ensuring it is safe and ready for use.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery notes and customer signatures.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and well-maintained, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
- Follow all traffic laws and company safety procedures at all times.
- Assist in the warehouse when not on deliveries, including sorting and organising stock.
What we're looking for
- A valid driving licence with a clean driving record is essential.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Basic mechanical skills and the ability to follow assembly instructions accurately.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
