Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Asbestos Surveyor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting asbestos surveys in accordance with HSG264 and managing asbestos risks across a range of domestic, commercial, and industrial properties. You will ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations and provide clear, accurate survey reports to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Management, Refurbishment, and Demolition Surveys in line with HSG264.
- Identify and sample suspected ACMs (Asbestos Containing Materials) on-site.
- Record and assess the condition of asbestos materials using handheld devices or manual forms.
- Produce clear, accurate, and timely survey reports.
- Ensure compliance with Control of Asbestos Regulations (CAR) 2012 and company procedures.
- Maintain and calibrate survey and safety equipment.
- Liaise with clients and project teams to ensure clear communication of findings and recommendations.
- Follow site health and safety procedures and use PPE correctly.
Requirements:
- BOHS P402 qualification (or RSPH equivalent) – Essential
- Minimum 1–2 years of practical asbestos surveying experience.
- Strong knowledge of asbestos types, uses, and associated risks.
- Valid UK driving license – Required for site travel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient with report-writing software and handheld data collection tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of health and safety.
