Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Runner to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their meals promptly and efficiently, contributing to an exceptional dining experience. This position requires excellent communication skills, a keen attention to detail, and a passion for guest services and hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to the dining area in a timely manner.
- Ensure that all orders are accurate and presented beautifully before serving.
- Assist in the preparation of meals as needed, adhering to food safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the service area, including clearing tables and resetting for new guests.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Provide assistance to guests by answering questions about menu items and making recommendations.
- Support waitstaff during busy periods by helping with additional tasks as required.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is advantageous but not essential.
- Familiarity with food preparation and safety practices is preferred.
- Strong guest services skills with an emphasis on creating a welcoming atmosphere.
- Excellent phone etiquette for handling reservations or guest inquiries.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment while managing time effectively.
- A passion for food and hospitality, with an eagerness to learn and grow within the industry.
