Who are we
We are an award-winning, craft tea brewing business looking for a food production worker(s) who will be brewing and bottling our tea, and supporting with all things in and out of the kitchen.
You will be working in a contemporary, fully air-conditioned, shared commercial kitchen with floor to ceiling windows - right in the heart of New Covent Garden Market, home to some of London's most exciting food start ups.

Responsibilities
Your role will sit with our small production team based in a commercial kitchen.
Your main responsibility will be to brew tea ("Hong Kong Style Milk tea") using traditional techniques which you will receive training on and support with bottling the tea from start to finish. Following the tea brewing process correctly is critical to ensure our tea achieves its consistent flavour and texture.
*Please note: this position will require some heavy lifting ~15kg (i.e. customer deliveries)*
Operations
- Complete daily opening / closing checklists
- Preparation of and maintaining a clean workspace to established food hygiene levels
- Support with bottling tea, capping, and labelling finished tea products
- Washing up of kitchen equipment
- Assisting with the unloading and storage of parcels and food supplies
- Packaging orders, liaising with couriers
Health & Safety
- work according to established level of food hygiene and safety requirements
- have a willingness to learn attitude and able to adapt to changes in hygiene standards
Hazards
- working knowledge of a commercial kitchen and understanding of its hazards (i.e. cross contamination, allergens)
- able to utilise appropriate processes and controls to mitigate risks
Quality
- monitor output / products against set standards and report broken / faulty equipment and raw materials
- able to identify when a quality breach is identified and able to follow set procedures to raise and rectify this
Problem Solving
- understand how to identify, prioritise and address problems which arise and spot improvement opportunities
- demonstrate initiative and come to the team with suggestions / recommendations

About you

- Previous experience working in a commercial kitchen is highly desirable
- Minimum 1 year experience in food
- Level 2 Health & Safety certificate (preferred, but not required)
- UK residents only - must have the right to work in the UK
- Please note: Successful applicants subject to a 1-2 trial shift and must currently be in the UK
