Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food and Beverage Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests, providing support in various areas including food preparation, service, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a keen interest in the food and beverage industry.
Duties
- Assist in the preparation of food items according to established recipes and standards.
- Support the front-of-house team by serving food and beverages to guests in a timely manner.
- Ensure that all food safety regulations are adhered to, maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment.
- Help with setting up dining areas for events, including catering services.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to guest inquiries and requests.
- Assist with bartending duties as needed, including mixing drinks and serving beverages.
- Participate in regular training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge within the hospitality sector.
Skills
- Previous experience in food preparation or within a restaurant or catering environment is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A proactive attitude towards helping others and providing exceptional service.
- Basic bartending skills would be beneficial but not essential; willingness to learn is key.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility in working hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
