Role Overview
The primary purpose of this role is to safely and efficiently operate mechanical handling equipment, including Reach Trucks and Counterbalance Forklift Trucks, to manage the storage, picking, and dispatch of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods. The successful candidate will maintain a high level of awareness regarding customer and business requirements, ensuring all handled products meet strict safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload vehicles arriving at Cod Beck Blenders Ltd.
- Accurately receive and record stock using the warehouse management system.
- Promptly report any discrepancies or issues to the Line Manager or Team Leader.
- Relocate stock within the warehouse as needed.
- Pick and prepare orders for dispatch according to customer specifications.
- Conduct regular stock counts and inventory checks.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
- Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization through general housekeeping duties.
Essential Requirements
- Valid and up-to-date Counterbalance Forklift Truck (FLT) licence.
- Valid and up-to-date Reach Truck licence (preferred).
- Proven experience operating both forklift and reach trucks.
- Previous experience working in a warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with Goods In processes (desirable).
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Proactive approach with good use of initiative and common sense.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Flexibility to support business needs, including overtime when required.
