We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Fish and Chip Fryer to join our team at the Fish and Chip Shop. Responsibilities
- Prepare and fry fish and chips to the highest quality standards, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations at all times.
- Assist with the preparation of other menu items as required, demonstrating versatility in culinary skills.
- Engage with customers, taking orders accurately and providing recommendations to enhance their dining experience through upselling techniques.
- Handle cash transactions efficiently, utilising basic maths skills for accurate billing.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods, demonstrating effective time management.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management, reporting any shortages or issues to management promptly.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a fish and chips shop and food preparation environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing orders effectively.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is advantageous.
- Strong culinary skills with an ability to prepare various dishes beyond fish and chips is a plus.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- A friendly disposition with a willingness to help customers and colleagues alike.
