Job Summary
We are currently seeking skilled and reliable First Fix Joiners to join our growing team in Nottingham. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in first fix carpentry, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform all aspects of first fix joinery including stud walling, joisting, door frames, staircases, and sub-flooring
- Interpret technical drawings and plans accurately
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and complies with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate effectively with other trades on-site
- Report progress and any issues to site supervisors or project managers
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
- Adhere to project timelines and deadlines
Requirements
- Proven experience in first fix joinery (minimum 2 years preferred)
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry & Joinery (or equivalent)
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Own tools and transport preferred
- Valid CSCS card (essential)
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Punctual, reliable, and detail-oriented
