Overview
We are seeking 2 skilled Carpenters ideally a pair who are used to working together to join our team predominantly for first fix work. The ideal candidates will possess a strong understanding of carpentry and construction practices, with the ability to work on various projects including residential renovations, extensions and loft conversions . This role requires proficiency in using both power and hand tools, as well as a keen eye for detail and quality workmanship. Must be able to drive and have own tools.
Work may involve some travelling but is predominantly within a 20 mile radius of Hemel Hempstead.
Current job is in Berkhamsted HP4.
We will consider a pair who have current availability amongst their other jobs who can do the first fix roof on price work.
Duties
- Fabricate and assemble wooden structures and fixtures according to specifications.
- To work independently with good problem solving skills.
- Perform joinery tasks, ensuring precision in measuring, cuts and fittings.
- Use power tools and hand tools safely and effectively to complete tasks efficiently.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, including electricians, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Lift heavy materials and equipment as needed to complete various projects.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Experience
- Proven experience as a carpenter in the construction industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with electrical work is advantageous but not essential.
- Demonstrated ability to use various power tools and hand tools effectively.
- Confident in first fix and second fix carpentry is a advantage
- Ability to follow architect's plans is desirable but not essential.
- A strong understanding of building codes and safety regulations is essential.
