About the team
Our Accounting, Advisory and Compliance Solutions team provide an outstanding quality of work and service to our clients, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial statements under IFRS and UK GAAP and the Companies Act as well as supporting them with additional accounting support. Our clients range from SME's, entrepreneurial and private clients to larger organisations based both in the UK and Internationally from a range of sectors including manufacturing, service industry, education sector and retail.
About the role
You will be focused on the preparation of statutory financial statements primarily under IFRS, FRS 101 and FRS102 for UK companies and complex groups.
There will be a focus on the preparation of statutory accounts for clients, particularly consolidated accounts, consolidation workings with business combinations, cash flow reporting and complex accounting disclosures. This will involve using our accounts preparation software OneSource and CaseWare.
What are we looking for?
- Qualified accountant with excellent broad practical accounting and statutory financial statements preparation experience – including an excellent understanding of journal entries and an ability to apply accounting principles to new scenarios.
- Proven expertise in the preparation of IFRS and UK GAAP FRS 101 and FRS 102 statutory accounts for a variety of businesses including large groups.
- Experience in preparing complex consolidations and cash flow statements.
- Proven experience in balancing multiple priorities (you are likely to be working on several sets of financial statements concurrently).
- Being agile and flexible to changing timelines and priorities.
- Hold discussions with clients regarding application of relevant IFRS and UK GAAP FRS 101 and FRS 102 standards.
- Relevant recent experience working in a practice accountancy environment.
- Experience of coaching and guiding junior team members.
- Experience of OneSource and CaseWare preferable but not essential.
