Duties:
· Ownership of purchase ledger processes.
· Producing payroll information for 3rd party payroll bureau.
-Wage reconciliations
-Preparing & posting of journals
· Control of petty cash.
· Credit cards and expenses.
· Cashbook postings and bank reconciliations.
· Preparing monthly payment run.
· Credit control – obtaining credit limit decisions from credit insurers and requesting payment from customers.
· Monitoring accounts email inbox.
What you will need:
· You will have a minimum of 2 yrs experience in a similar role and can quickly pick up the routine tasks with ease.
· You should be able to work with autonomy but also work well within a multi-disciplinary team.
· A well-rounded finance professional who is familiar with the wide range of tasks that can be involved with an SME finance function.
· Able to identify opportunities for simplification, optimisation and standardisation of processes & suggest ways to implement change.
· Experience of using an ERP system (preferably Epicor).
· AAT or studying towards AAT
· Strong I.T skills including Excel.
· Good organisational skills.
· Personable and a good communicator - you will be able to liaise across various departments to find answers and resolve issues.
· Self-motivated and pro-active approach.
· Reliably commute to Clayton-le-Moors in Accrington.
