OCU Borehamwood are seeking an experienced Finance Assistant / Cost controller to join the team on the Open Reach contract.

In order to be successful you will have :

  • Processed invoices, expense claims, and other financial documents accurately and efficiently.
  • Developed accurate and consistent pricing documents
  • Liaised with different teams to collect information for pricing calculations.
  • Accepting, progressing, and closing jobs in specific management software.
  • Kept track of any external cost generated by workflow.
  • Pricing of civil, build and survey work done on site
  • Prepared special financial reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising account information.
  • Perform data entry tasks related to financial transactions and ensured accuracy and completeness of records.
  • Analysed financial data and providing high standard reports to specific deadlines
  • Support the finance team with ad hoc tasks and projects as required.

You would need to show previous proven experience in the following:

  • Proven experience as an Accounts Administrator, Finance Assistant, or Previous experience in a Utilities/Construction environment.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook)
  • Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
  • Prior experience in accounts/ math / statistic and invoice processing is preferred.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with integrity.
