We are looking for a proactive Finance Administrator and Credit Controller to join our team and play a vital role in keeping our busy service department running efficiently.
Overview
Are you an organised, detail-oriented individual with a passion for numbers and a proactive mindset? We are looking for a Finance Administrator and Credit Controller to join our friendly and supportive Finance team. This is a dual-role opportunity where you will play a vital part in both the smooth running of day-to-day finance administration and ensuring timely payments from customers, helping to reduce risk and bad debt.
Duties:
Admin Responsibilities:
- Processing purchase ledger invoices
- Assisting with daily cash posting
- Reconciling supplier statements
- Data entry and maintaining accurate records
- Managing account queries (internal & external)
- Filing invoices and statements
Credit Control Responsibilities:
- Contacting customers via phone, email, or post to collect overdue payments
- Investigating and resolving billing discrepancies
- Monitoring customer accounts and taking follow-up action
- Maintaining clear records of payment activity
- Assessing customer creditworthiness using financial data
- Working with the sales team to resolve account issues
- Preparing and sending monthly statements
- Processing and reconciling credit card payments
What We are Looking For:
- Previous finance/admin or credit control experience is beneficial
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Confident communicator with a professional manner
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong IT skills – experience with finance software is a plus
- Willingness to learn – training will be provided
