Security Officers Female & Male for Searching at a Port Facility
As an occupational requirement, we are seeking female and male applicants due to the nature of the role which will require searching female & male members of the public.
Location : Poole Dorset
Part Time Seasonal Contract
25-35 average hours per week, Seasonal contract from April to November, and extra hours available.
Providing Maritime Security under International Ship and Port Facility Security (I.S.P.S)
Conduct various searches of vehicles entering the Restricted Area under I.S.P.S Code
Provide a customer friendly, reassuring, professional security presence
This role is ideal for those people that just want the flexibility of some part time employment and enjoy working with the public as part of a great team.
Shifts tend to start at 06:45hrs to when the boats depart, being either a three or four hour shifts. There is a regular 06:45hrs to 09:45hrs shift, seven days a week. Hours will include weekend working. During the week there are additional afternoon shifts, which will be no later than a 15:00hrs finish time, and there could be earlier starts occasionally. Staff are informed at least two weeks in advance of shift times. Flexibility is essential. An average day can include up to 6-8 Hours depending on the sailings which can be scheduled between 05:30hrs – 14:15hrs.
Suitable for all age groups if you hold a current SIA Frontline licence, and are fit and active. Operational training and uniform provided.
Salary: £12.71 per hour (Self employed rate available on provision of valid UTR code).

Applicants would benefit by having their own form of transport due to the early start time for the morning shifts or be local to Poole as some shifts are only 3-4 hours.
Key Skills / Experience
Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols
Excellent English communication skills both written and verbal
Experience of working as part of a team or independently
Understand the Health and Safety at Work act
