Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated female Care Assistant with a good sense of humour to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide bespoke essential support to an individual in a home setting ensuring their comfort and well-being. This bespoke complex needs role requires effective communication skills, a strong understanding of care plans, and the ability to work collaboratively with both client, family and healthcare professionals and other team members.
The night shift begins at 8pm and ends at 10am and includes a 4 HR sleep in on call period .
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and food preparation.
- Ability to work effectively in a small team.
- Support client in following their care plans and ensuring their individual need is met.
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare staff to provide updates on client progress and any concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition.
- Must be prepared to work Mon through till Sunday to include one full weekend on rota.
- Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being and companionship.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations as per care plan.
Experience
- Previous experience in a care role is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
- Strong communication skills in English are required for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- A valid driving licence is essential as location is rural.
- Familiarity with care plans and the ability to follow them accurately is beneficial for this role.
