The Service & Team:
Working within the Child & Family Service in Caradon Early Help Team, hours are full -time 37 hours a week Monday to Friday, with some expected flexibility around working outside of standard hours to meet the needs of the children/family . There is an expectation that you will support or deliver parenting programmes, or programmes for young people which may take place in an evening and will be planned well-ahead

Family workers work as part of a larger team, they carry out assessments and devise plans of intervention.To do this you will be trained to utilise a range of evidence based approaches including Signs of Safety & Motivational Interviewing. This is a public/customer-facing role, where the statutory English language requirement for public sector workers applies.
This position will be subject to an enhanced criminal record disclosure check.
Working Pattern:
Working hours are 37 hours a week Mon-Friday 8.45am-5.15pm but we expect some flexibility around this to meet the needs of the families you are supporting and when delivering parenting programmes.
What you’ll need to succeed:
You must hold a relevant level three + professional qualification related to supporting children and families e.g. Education, Health and Social Care and have experience of delivering services for children and their families.
