Glass Services Ltd
A family-run business situated on the Kingsnorth Industrial Estate, Ashford, we operate from our 30,000 sqft of modern equipped factory premises with approximately 40 full-time members of staff.
We are currently seek a part-time factory/warehouse assistant to assist a small team in gathering goods and loading vehicles for despatch the following day. Working to documented instructions, bespoke made items must be gathered from storage and loaded onto a small mixed fleet of vehicles by hand. The role requires care when handling fragile items such as insulated glass units, mirrors, splash-backs and general cut-sizes of sheet glass.
Applicants will be required to wear PPE at all times and must be able to follow training and instruction at all times. The successful applicant will take pride in their work in seeing that goods are loaded accurately and proficiently with customers receiving their orders on time and as they would expect. The role does involve lifting and moving glass items which can occasionally be heavy. Applicants must be physically capable of working a manual handling shift.
Working hours are typically 12noon to 5pm Monday-Friday. However to the right applicant, this can be flexible.

Duties may not be limited to the outlined position. Other duties can include assisting other employees in their duties to ensure production targets are met.

Previous experience is a strong advantage, but not essential. Rates of pay are dependant on experience, qualifications achieved and are also progressive with training and abilities.
