R. Plevin & Sons Ltd have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Fabricator/Welder to work in a busy garage based at Elkesley, Nr Retford DN22 8BT. Working on a full time, permanent basis you will receive a competitive rate of pay (dependent on experience)
R. Plevin & Sons is a UK market leader in wood recycling and a manufacturer of animal bedding. The company runs and maintains its own bespoke fleet of vehicles.
The role:
To carry out fabrication and welding on commercial vehicles (predominately trailers and skips) to the highest standard, in line with legislative requirement.
As our Fabricator/Welder your duties will include:
· To carry out quality fabrication and welding repairs on vehicles including skips and trailers
· To work safely, following good working practices, in line with Health & Safety procedures
· To place orders for materials required for fabrication and welding
Hours of work:
Alternative Shift Pattern:
Shift A:
Monday to Friday 05:30 - 14:00 hours
Shift B
Monday to Thursday 11:30 -20:00 hours
Friday 09:30 - 18:00 hours
+ Alternative Saturday mornings 06:00-12:00
Authorised hours worked over 40 hours per week paid at overtime rate.
Key skills and experience needed to become our Fabricator/Welder:
City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in welding/fabrication.
Prior work experience of fabricating/welding on commercial vehicles is desirable.
Aluminium welding experience is desirable.
Some HGV mechanical knowledge/experience is desirable.
Keen eye for detail to ensure work is carried out to specification.
