Expert Fire Door set Assembler

The Role:
You will be required to work individually as well as part of a team. You will work within standard specifications to convert fire doors and their components into a finished product, dependent on the requested requirements from clients. This includes:
· Constructing frames and linings
· Hanging doors into frames/linings in accordance with strict tolerances
· Fitting various ironmongery components according to job specifications
· Ensuring all aspects of work comply with stringent certification requirements
· Completing quality checks of door sets
An expert assembler should have the following skills:
· Fully trained to set up & use panel saw, chop saws, routers, pallet truck & hand tools supplied
· A high skill level in door set assembly
· In depth knowledge of door set assembly & its components
· Produce high quality door set products
· A high measurable output in door set assembly
· Highly skilled at cross checking prior to door set build
· Accurately build door sets to reflect paperwork requirements
· "Cross Over" skills to safely work in other departments

Requirements:
· 2 or more years carpentry/wood working experience
Or
· NVQ level 2 carpentry qualification (or equivalent)
The offer:
· Monthly paid earning based on 42.5 working hours per week; 07:00 – 16:00 Monday – Thursday, 06:00 – 15:00 Friday
· 20 days paid holidays (+ Bank holidays) per year with an additional day for each year’s service completed, up to a maximum of 25 days
· Permanent position with SSP and pension
· £14.50 - £17.00 per hour
